Portishead Carnival Committee CIC – Posset Events are the organisers of the carnival. We as the carnival committee have the right to refuse entry to any parade entry or stall holder if these terms and conditions are not followed.
1. Portishead Carnival Committee accepts no liability for loss, damage or injury to any person or property caused as a result of your activities
2. All stall holders and float organisers are required to comply with our health and safety requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations and legislations covering the operation and management of all of your activities
3. Portishead Carnival Committee retain the right to alter the allocated stall site in the event of unforeseen circumstances
4. You are required to maintain a policy of insurance in respect of Public liability for a sum of £5,000,000 five million and produce a copy of your insurance valid for the event date to the carnival committee prior to the confirmation of your booking.
5. As a trader you are solely responsible for all aspects of your stall and the products you sell. We can accept no liability. We therefore require a risk assessment to cover all aspects of your booking.
6. All pitches are outdoors, you are required to provide your own shade, shelter etc
7. Generators are permitted, generators and any electrical equipment need to be included in your risk assessment and hold valid PAT testing and IP rating. Any surplus diesel needs to be stored safely and correctly and away from the public at all times
8. Electricity will be provided to stalls who request it. this will be inspected at the time of set up.
9. All Food and Drink stall holders must have a food hygiene certificate which needs to be sent to us along with your other paperwork
10. If you do not have the documents required, you will be refused to trade at the event. All Parade entries and stall bookings must comply with this legislation.
11. In the event that a parade entry/stall holder is unable to produce the correct documentation or to participate on carnival day for any reason, no refund will be issued
12. Pitches are non-transferable to other parade entry/stall holder
13. All stalls will be regularly inspected to ensure compliance with our terms and conditions. We reserve the right to deny permission for any vendor/trader to continue trading at any time during our event.
14. Any stall holder whose permission to continue trading has been terminated will not be eligible for a refund.
15. Parade Entry Check in time at the lake grounds is from 1000hrs on carnival day
16. Stall Holders check in either Friday from 0800hrs-1800hrs or on carnival day from 0700hrs to 1130hrs
17. All vehicles that do not form part of your stall must be removed from the event and parked away by 1145hrs, vehicles are not permitted to return to site until the public have cleared the area starting at 1800hrs
