Best Dressed Window Competition…
Our shop window competition was well
received and the town looked amazing for the whole of June! Shop windows were creatively decorated with bright and cheerful décor which really helped get everyone in the carnival spirit.
To enter the competition, simply contact is with your location and business name using the form below and we will add you to our records so we don’t miss you when judging after carnival day, photos of your dressed shop windows are very welcome, please also feel free to tag our social pages to your window post so the community can see your creativity
Carnival Grand Draw
From October through to carnival day the committee runs a fully licenced Grand Draw. The top prize is a hot air balloon ride for two people along with several other great prized on offer. Tickets sell for just £5 each.
All prizes and their donators will be advertised on our socials and website for all to see. If you feel your business or
organisation could donate a prize for our

Carnival Week
We are launching a new community colour run that will take place at the Show Field on Saturday 6th June 2026. Due to the scheduling of this event, we can bring back carnival week!
Historically the coronation day used to be part of carnival week, however with the edition of the programme, Royal events are required to be held earlier in the year before the programmes go to print.
We are asking businesses if they would like to host a carnival evening during ‘Carnival week’ this can be carnival themed nights from quiz nights to live entertainment.
If you are able to host an evening, we will promote you as an official carnival week event, that’s it! no strings attached, we just ask that you help bring the community together, if you would like to donate towards carnival after your event that would be most welcome however it is not an obligation
High Street After Party
To finish the week carnival celebrations, from 7pm on Carnival Day we are encouraging a High Street After Party! The feedback we received from doing this during our first event, was all positive by enthusiastic pub owners as well as our community, We would like to make the After Party a new carnival tradition.
