The parade starts the from the Lake Grounds at midday and consists of small / large groups of walkers, fabulous creative floats and amazing performances, it finishes as the show field where the carnival celebrations continue.
It has always been a favourite past time for spectators seeing the creativity everyone comes up with to build their floats and making their outfits, just as much as it has been for those participating.

For everyone's safety, we kindly ask all parade spectators to stay on the pavements for the entire duration of the event.
This ensures not only your safety but also that of the participants.
For your safety, do not sit on the kerbs with your legs or feet in the road
Road closures will be in place while the procession takes place and the roads will
reopen once the parade has fully concluded, so please remain on the pavements and avoid following the last truck onto the main roads.
Our marshals will be in place to keep everyone safe - please be mindful and respectful towards them
Collection buckets will be in place along the parade route. Please remain where you are and wait for an authorised collector to approach you - for your safety, do not step into the road to meet them.
Please only use our official buckets as this is a condition of our collection permit
If you know someone participating in the parade, we ask that you wait to meet them at the show field and do not walk into the road to join them.
All traders that have signed up with us are on the field only. Any traders on the street during carnival day have not been authorised by Posset Events CIC.
